Walmart has held its own major fall sale to compete with Amazon's October Prime Day for the last several years — and 2024 is no different! Like Amazon Prime Day, Walmart's Holiday Deals event will give shoppers access to some of the hottest offers of the year for less. (Woo-hoo!) We're talking discounts on big-ticket items like vacuums, big-screen smart TVs, home and kitchen appliances, furniture and tech gear. Pick up finds for yourself and put some away for holiday gifts.

“We know many of our customers are beginning to prepare for their holiday celebrations early, and we’ve adapted our approach to best meet their needs,” said Latriece Watkins, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Walmart U.S. “We’ve worked hard to lower prices across our most exciting assortment ever, and we’re thrilled to give customers more of what they want this holiday — more time to prepare and more opportunities to save all season long.”

Unlike Amazon Prime Day, though, Walmart's Holiday Deals event is open to all shoppers, not just those with a paid membership. (Though Walmart+ members will get first access!)

While you can always count on Walmart for low prices and even better deals, we're anticipating some record-low markdowns on top-rated bestsellers during the Walmart Deals event. The mega-retailer is, after all, touting it as its first holiday deals event of the season. Expect huge discounts (up to 70%) on thousands of big-ticket items like vacuums, big-screen smart TVs, home and kitchen appliances, luggage, furniture, tech gear and toys — we're talking brands like Dyson, Shark, Instant Pot, HP, Xbox and Lego.

Here's a first look at just some of the promised stellar sales:
