Watch This 7-Year-Old Actress Win a Critics' Choice Award and Try Not to Cry
Awards shows are often filled with sweet and emotional moments, but perhaps none have ever tugged on our heartstrings as much as watching 7-year-old actress Brooklynn Prince win a Critics' Choice Awards. Brooklynn, who stars in The Florida Project, won the award for best young actress and her acceptance speech was one for the history books.
"Wow, this is such an honor," she said as she tearfully accepted her award. She continued her speech by mentioning how much she admired the other actresses in her category-and that's when she said the sweetest thing of all: "All the nominees are great, you guys are awesome. We should go and get ice cream after this." Aww!
Before the award ceremony started, Brooklynn kicked off the night on the red carpet where she ran into fellow nominee and actor, 11-year-old Jacob Tremblay.
Then the young actress became fast friends with her fellow attendees including Angelina Jolie. We're not sure who's giving who advice, but we bet both of these leading ladies could learn a thing or two from each other.
Whether we get to see her take the stage at any future awards shows this year, one thing is certain: We can't wait to see what this sweet young girl does next.
