You Can Watch A New Episode Of 'The Great British Baking Show' On Netflix Right Now
Happy Labor Day Weekend, friends!!! I have some news to make your long weekend even better, unless you are one of the three people on this planet not moved to happy tears by The Great British Baking Show. A new episode was added to Netflix TODAY (Friday, August 30), with new episodes to be released weekly this time around.
The episode available to stream today is the first in season 10, or collection seven on Netflix, and is called "Cake Week." Per the site's description, viewers will "Meet the new baker's dozen of contenders. Juicy fruitcakes, heavenly genoise and fantasy birthday cakes are whipped up beneath the big white tent."
In the Netflix queue, you can see drop dates for each episode this season. Episode 2 will be released September 6, episode 3 September 13, and so on. This is the first time Netflix has aired episodes weekly after they air on Channel 4 in the U.K., Entertainment Weekly reports. While most of the episode names are hidden, next week's has been revealed: it's Biscuits Week! Break out your best tea set, fam.
In the event you are unfamiliar with the show, the cast includes judges/hosts like Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, and sees home bakers competing week after week with eliminations throughout until there is just one Great British Baking Show champion. This year's contestants include a teacher, fashion designer, and crazy-young 20-year-old student. It's heartwarming and full of British accents and dessert so really, there is nothing not to love.
