Watch This Exclusive 'AGT' Audition of a Rock Band's Unique Take on a Billie Eilish

Nashville-based band True Villains is one of several musical acts that auditions for America’s Got Talent tonight – and even though they hail from Music City, they aren’t a county act but a rock band, and in this performance, they lean a little into metal.

But don’t expect a cover song from one of the well-known metal bands like Metallica, Black Sabbath, or Judas Priest. Rather, they surprised judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara with their unique interpretation of Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy.”

And get this: The reason they auditioned is their bass player’s mother has been a fan of AGT since the show began and kept urging her son to audition.

True Villains is made up of Beau Lastavich (vocals) from Minnesota, Tim Venerosa (guitar) from New York, Greg Herndon (keys) from North Carolina, Barry Conaway (bassist) from Florida, and Matt Carter (drums) from California.

America’s Got Talent airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
