Watch this hilarious high school dance team perform in Chick-fil-A cow costumes
A Texas dance team stole the show when it performed in the famous Chick-fil-A cow costumes at a recent competition. The funny video was posted on Facebook, and it went viral, gathering more than 12 million views and nearly 100,000 likes (as of this story).
“This is amazing!” wrote a commenter. “Who comes up with this stuff??!! ‘Hey! Let’s all dress up in cow costumes and hip-hop around on the floor!!!'” Another just added: “Awesome!”
The Hallsville High School Bobcat Belles dressed as cows and danced to a mash-up of songs, including “Proud to be a Cow” from Sesame Street and “Milkshake” by Kelis.
The costume creativity stole the show and had the entire gymnasium laughing.
Hallsville dance team instructor Kathryn Calaway told KLTV that the “dance is more of a chance for them to let loose and have fun.”
The team won Grand Champion in the super division for both team and officer dances, gathering the most points in the novelty category.
This is not the first time the competition saw creativity shine through in the costumes the dancers wore. In the past, Calaway said, such novelty dances have featured dancers dressed up as dinosaurs and grannies.
“They’re here before everyone else,” Calaway said about the team members’ work ethic. “I feel honored to work with them.”
