Watch the Trailer for Depp V Heard

Here’s the first trailer for Depp V Heard, a new documentary exploring 2022’s very public court case involving actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.

As you can see in the trailer below, Depp V Heard isn’t just a recounting of the case itself, but delves into the culture around it, including the fascination of it on social media sites such as Twitter and TikTok. Rampant speculation ensued as people from all corners weighed in.

The case saw Depp sue Heard for defamation over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed she wrote. Heard then countersued, and so unfolded a court case that seemed to have the world in its vice-like grip.

As per the official Netflix synopsis: "Depp v Heard is a three-part series examining the infamous defamation case that captured the world's attention and became the world's first trial by TikTok. Showing both testimonies side-by-side for the first time, this series explores this global media event, questioning the nature of truth and the role it plays in our modern society."

The three-part series is heading to Netflix on August 16.
