You *Need* to Watch the ‘This Is Us’ Cast’s Audition Tapes

There’s less than a week until the Pearsons return to the small screen with season three, and the This Is Us powers that be just dropped the perfect amuse bouche to prepare our palates.

Behold, Milo Ventimiglia (Jack), Chrissy Metz (Kate), Sterling K. Brown (Randall) and Susan Kelechi Watson’s (Beth) audition tapes. To borrow creator Dan Fogelman’s words, they’re basically “perfect dream scenarios.”

In one clip, Ventimiglia and Metz reflect on coming in for the auditions that would ultimately change their lives. The IRL Jack Pearson delivered a short monologue during Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) labor and Metz performed her post-first-date with Toby (Chris Sullivan) scene. 

In another video, Brown and Watson recall where they were when they first read the script, which Brown calls the “best network script” he’d ever read. Sounds about right. 

This Is Us season three premieres next Tuesday, September 25, at 9/8c on NBC.

We. Can’t. Wait.
