Wendy’s Revives Sorely Missed McDonald’s Menu Item
Among the new menu items introduced for spring 2023 is a snack wrap dupe.
McDonald's Snack Wraps are coming to Wendy's–well, sort of.
The beloved fast-food chain recently announced a slurry of new menu options to be made available this spring at Wendy's locations nationwide, and one of them sounds famously familiar.
In a press release shared directly with Parade, Wendy's announced the addition of its new Grilled Chicken Ranch Wrap as a light meal option that still promises strong flavor.
Wendy's version of the beloved wraps–perfect for snacking or meal time–do differ slightly from the variety initially introduced by McDonald's, but not by much.

Wrapped in a warm tortilla and filled with diced grilled chicken, Wendy's Grilled Chicken Ranch Wrap also includes shredded cheddar cheese, fresh romaine lettuce and a creamy ranch sauce, the perfect flavor-packed meal for people on-the-go.
McDonald's Snack Wraps were first introduced in 2013 and discontinued three years later. In 2016, the company cited as low sales and numerous complaints from franchisees who said preparation of the product (which consisted of mainly fried chicken, shredded lettuce, cheese and a drizzle of ranch sauce) was too difficult for its employees.

Despite its complexity and to no avail, Golden Arches loyalists have gone as far as petitioning the company to bring back its original Snack Wraps.
But now, fans can savor a similar flavor at Wendy's, along with that of several other new additions, including the brand-new Blueberry Pomegranate Lemonade and Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad, which will all be hopping onto menus starting Tuesday, Mar. 28.
"We are always listening to our fans and introducing exciting new menu items to give them exactly what they are craving," Carl Loredo, global chief marketing officer at Wendy's, said in a statement. "Our Dave's Craft Lemonades have been a fan-favorite menu item for years, and our all-natural lemonade foundation allows us to bring flavor innovation like no one else in the business. We're excited to kick off the season and give our passionate fans another irresistibly delicious flavor with Blueberry Pomegranate Lemonade."
If you're in the mood for an even cooler treat, the nationwide burger joint also recently brought back its beloved Vanilla Frosty flavor.
