ABC

Bachelor in Paradise showed viewers an elimination situation they’d never expected—Brayden Bowers getting blindsided on tonight’s episode 3!

While the men had been in charge of the roses last week, it was announced the ladies would be handing out the next set.

As the show opened, Brayden and Kat Izzo looked like the strongest couple on the beach.

The hunk gushed to cameras, “It’s a match made in heaven…I’m falling in love with this woman.”

Kat said she wouldn’t pursue anyone else, however, that changed when hunky Tanner Courtad from Charity Lawson’s Bachelorette season appeared!

What happened tonight when Tanner arrived in Paradise?

Armed with a date card from host Jesse Palmer, Tanner pulled Jess Girod aside for a chat, but also spoke with Kat.

Tanner chose Kat for a horseback riding date and they wound up stripping down to swimsuits and making out in the ocean afterwards. Cameras blacked out Kat’s bottom, leaving fans to assume she was wearing a super revealing thong!

Back at the resort, distraught Brayden told cameras, “I want someone to choose me!”

What happened when an old favorite hit BIP?

Tyler Norris, a top contender in Rachel Recchia’s dual Bachelorette season, returned to Paradise for the second season in a row.

He had left the beach with Brittany Galvin during his first season in Paradise, but the two split up.

Tyler pulled Rachel aside to chat on tonight's episode, and her lover Sean McLaughlin worried they’d rekindle old sparks.

But the hunk decided to take Mercedes Northup on a date, and she agreed, even though Will Urena was her show beau.

Who suffered a medical emergency tonight on Bachelor in Paradise?

You might have been thinking that a medical emergency was more likely on the new Golden Bachelor, but it was sexy single in Paradise who is suffering.

Sam Jeffries noted in confessional, “I’m going on nine days without pooping.”

The redhead had taken a laxative before the last rose ceremony and almost pooped her pants, but by the time she’d received her rose from Aaron Schwartzman, she’d lost the urge.

A doctor told Sam that a drastic action like hospitalization “to bring a poo baby out” might be necessary.

Sam was told if she hadn’t defecated by the next day, she might have to leave BIP for medical care.

“She’s all backed up. That’s very concerning,” Olivia Lewis told cameras.

How did Kat dump Brayden on Bachelor in Paradise?

After Kat and Tanner returned from their date, Brayden pulled her aside.

“I have to listen to my gut,” Kat told Brayden and said it was over between them.

“You would be a great person [for] someone else,” she said.

Brayden told the cameras that Kat was “cold as ice.”

The blonde told the others, “It was a good reset.”

Brayden felt Kat had only used him to get his week one rose and sighed in confessional, “It feels like I got played hard core.”

After Kylee Russell and Jess took Kat aside to tell her how upset Brayden was, Kat spoke to him again.

Kat said he had twisted things.

“That is some immature bulls--t!” she told cameras.

Brayden told her, “I feel hurt. I feel cheap. I feel like a dirty whore.”

Kat stormed away.

What happened with Mercedes’ love triangle?

The brunette and Tyler connected so much over dinner that they wound up kissing amid fireworks.

When Mercedes returned to Will, she told him she’d have to sleep on a decision about which guy she’d pick.

What does Sam tell Aaron S.?

After talking to the doctor, Sam told her guy Aaron S. about her inability to eliminate waste.

He laughed, “It’s going to be our poop baby!” and brought her a “poo poo platter” to try to help.

The dinner included beans, tacos, chips, salsa and hot sauce.

Afterwards, Aaron S. led Sam in beach exercises designed to move her bowels.

She trudged back to her room in pain, hoping she’d finally be able to go.
