Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are making another big splash, and even we'll admit the reason behind this viral moment is kind of unhinged.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end uploaded a series of stylish photos to his Instagram account on Monday, Oct. 9, in which he left the field and boarded a jet wearing a loose white button-up and a pair of velour, orange-brown pants.
Some eagle-eyed fans of his assumed-to-be-girlfriend noticed that the trousers looked awfully similar to a set of velvet curtains used as a backdrop in her "Midnights Mayhem With Me" video series, where she slowly revealed the track titles of her 10th studio album.
In each clip, the first of which was uploaded over a year ago, she was surrounded by a deep brown set of velvet drapes, which Swifties amusedly assumed had been turned into—or at least inspired—the NFL star's latest look.
"It’s the Midnights pants for me," one wrote, while another said, "I SEE YOU WITH THOSE 'MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT' PANTS ??."
"We’re Taylor’s curtains huh," someone else commented, with another joking, "Why is he wearing mother's curtains ??."
"What is that… velvet ?!?! ????," Fox Sports' Charissa Thompson wanted to know.
Kelce, who clearly chose them for how soft we can only assume they are, replied, "no idea but they’re as comfy as they look!! ????."
