Why Gigi and Bella Hadid Aren't at Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's Wedding
Kendall Jenner left Europe's fashion weeks to present at the Emmys and ultimately travel down to South Carolina for Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's wedding tonight. And while several other celebrities have flown from the West Coast to the East Coast for the nuptials, Gigi and Bella Hadid didn't make the trip. They had work all the way in Paris, as the city's fashion week is ongoing through October 1.
The Hadid sisters have been abroad and remain in France this evening. It's an understandable decision, given the girls would have had to take an 11 hour flight back to the U.S. to make it and may still be booked for shows tomorrow.
Gigi was photographed last night in Paris at the Each x Other spring/summer 2020 show:
She was also shot arriving her hotel earlier today in the French city.
Bella, meanwhile, was photographed today out in Paris:
While the models have all hung out before and are friends, Baldwin spoke to Vogue Australia about how she used to struggle living in her pals' shadows.
“My burn in the modeling industry has been slow and I’ve had to learn to be okay with that," she said. "I’m shorter than most of the girls. Even though I’m five-foot-eight, I’m not a runway girl, and I totally used to feel inferior to some of my friends. Look at Kendall [Jenner] and Bells [Bella Hadid] and Gigi [Hadid]…they’re all tall and doing every runway. For a while, there was a part of me that didn’t know if I could have the career I wanted if I couldn’t do runway. I don’t think that anymore. I had so many people, like casting directors, say: ‘We don’t think she’s a real model.’"
