Why Isn't Taylor Swift at the Golden Globes with Her Boyf?

Are you seriously showing up to the Golden Globes without Taylor Swift?!
Swifties were counting down the days until the 2019 Globes, which they surely thought would be the night Taylor and Joe became red carpet official. But shortly after 7 p.m., Joe and his pile of shiny blond hair showed up solo. No one on his arm. No one at his side. Just...Joe.
But, before you start Google Image'ing photos of Joe so you can draw X's all over it, know that it might not be Joe's fault that Taylor isn't with him. In fact, you should maybe direct your blame towards the cats.
No, not Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, certified darlings. We're talking about Cats with a capital C. A few Twitter sleuths brought up the fact that Taylor is most likely on set for the movie version of that Broadway legend, the musical we all begged to see when we were kids, and the future of cinema. Cats the movie is supposedly arriving in theaters later this year, so it would make sense if Tay Tay were knee-deep in whiskers makeup right now.
HOWEVER, we would like to point out that Mr. Idris Elba, DJ extraordinaire, is most certainly at the Globes. Sure, his daughter is Miss Golden Globe this year, so he kinda has what Hollywood would call a "family emergency." Still, we're a little sad that Taylor chose cats over Joe. If only because we would have loved decoding the body language.
