This week, Jennifer Aniston and her longtime boyfriend Justin Theroux wed at a secret ceremony at their Bel Air, Calif., home.
And what confection did they enjoy during the celebration? A Muppet cake. Duh. It turns out that the actress formerly known as Rachel Green has a Muppet infatuation.
According to People.com’s Great Ideas column, the actress disclosed in 2011 that she and director Will Speck once commissioned Muppets that resembled themselves. Aniston loves them so much, they’re displayed prominently in her living room and have even traveled with the actress and her friends.
“They are the most fun, they’ve come with me on vacations,” she told the magazine. “My girlfriends, we do photo shoots with them, it’s very silly. They’ve been to Cabo so far.”
This love of Muppets seems to have inspired her and her beau’s unique and playful wedding cake (photos are available here), which was created by Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes. The cake featured two Muppet-like characters who resembled a bride and a groom.
According to People, the bakers — like the wedding guests — “had no idea it was for a wedding. They didn’t know until they saw the pictures this morning.”
