Why Taylor Swift Fans Think Travis Kelce Paid Tribute to Her With His Game Day Look

L: Travis Kelce, R: Taylor Swift

One thing is for certain: Travis Kelce always brings his fashion A-game to every NFL occasion.

But in his latest 'fit, some fans think there may be a subtle meaning to his look, having to do with his girlfriend Taylor Swift and one of her famous eras.

"Alright nah, @tkelce is here!" the Kansas City Chiefs' official Twitter account wrote alongside a video of the tight end strutting up to the stadium with a can of energy drink, or possibly seltzer, in hand.

He wore an emerald green beanie with a khaki, green and brown plaid jacket with sherpa lining over a white tee and a pair of khaki-colored sweatpants. It was a quintessential fall vibe, which one fan felt was giving "lumberjack."

Most, however, attributed the look to Swift's ninth studio album Evermore, which celebrated its third anniversary on Monday, Dec. 11.

Swift appears on the cover of the album in a brown and burnt orange plaid coat, with plenty of similar aesthetics appearing throughout the album's imagery and cinematography.

As such, the singer's fans considered his look to be a nod to the beloved album, with one reply reading, "in his evermore era !!"

"He really celebrated evermore day," another said.

In a snap captured as he and Swift left the stadium, she was seen in a black and silver zip-up blouse tucked into a black miniskirt, leading someone else to joke, "If Rep + Evermore went on a date."

Evermore, of course, is the second of Swift's two surprise albums released during the COVID-19 lockdown, while reputation is the final album produced on Swift's previous label, jam-packed with dark elements.
