Woman Makes a 'Chickcuterie Board' for Her Molting Chickens and It's Perfection
Everybody's heard of a charcuterie (also referred to by many as a 'shark-coochie') board, but have you ever heard of a 'chickcuterie' board? @Purely Chickens shared a video last week of what she serves to her molting chickens, and it's definitely not a platter you'll be serving at your next get together!
Her chickcuterie board is full of things that chickens love like eggs (who knew?), watermelon, squash, and grubs (yuck!). She then explains that the scrambled eggs and grubs are a great high protein snack for her molting chickens that will help them regrow their feathers more quickly. You learn something new every day!

Yep, it's clear that the chickens love the chickcuterie boards! You can tell they're enjoying the chicken treats! In her caption she explains that grubs are higher in protein and calcium than mealworms, which is why she feeds them to her chickens.
Commenters loved the idea (and the name!) and had lots to say, as well as some questions. @ReRe isn't wrong for saying, "Luckiest chickens on earth!", and neither is @Stormshark66 who said, "Love it!! Looks scrumptious....for them!!"
I was thinking the same thing that @Krista Powell asked, "So feeding chickens their eggs is ok? I will gladly do it, but thought it was considered cannibalism-ish." There are many reasons that chickens will eat their own eggs, but it's not a habit you want them to get into. If you do have a chicken that is eating the eggs before you can get to them, try darkening their nesting boxes, put fake eggs in the boxes, or try collecting them more frequently.
