The Workout Tool Jennifer Lopez Swears by for Her 'Superwoman' Arms
The entire world is well aware that Jennifer Lopez has superpowers when it comes to fitness. After all, she is nearly 50 and has the body of a genetically blessed 20-something. On Wednesday the 49-year-old shared a photo of her incredibly buff biceps on Instagram, and confirmed that she doesn’t just look like a superhero, she also feels like one.
“Feeling like superwoman after the show tonight!” Lopez wrote alongside a photo of herself flaunting her toned bod in a skintight maroon dress and flexing her arm muscles. While every inch of her body and face was flawless, it was her impressive upper body that stole the thunder. Her muscles looked insane, to say the least.

She continued, “There were moments I was tired and there was travel and I had to fit in my workouts where I could… but here we are with only 3 shows left!! And I am having so many emotions but mostly just feeling strong, happy and grateful!!!”
Jennifer Lopez's arm workout secret
So just how did J.Lo achieve her gravity-defying upper body?
Lopez revealed to Us Weekly that she works out “three or four times a week.” When she is in New York, she works out with celebrity trainer David Kirsch, and in Los Angeles with Tracy Anderson. “I like the balance that they both give me. They have two totally different approaches. I like switching it up with my body.”
In 2017 the fitness fanatic shared some snaps of her upper body workout on Instagram. In them, she did some serious bicep curls with a resistance band. Kirsch, told Health the move was called the bent over resistance row with curl. In addition to strengthening the upper body, he maintains the move also helps with tightening and toning the quads, glutes and core. In general he swears by resistance bands, like this best-selling set on Amazon, because the workouts can be done easily in no time at the gym and they are so "transportable." It's likely Lopez has a set or two with her in her Vegas hotel suite!
According to Anderson, her upper body training method with J.Lo is “freestyle,” doing three-pound arm weights with “butt and thigh moves that incorporate the core."

It also helps that fitness isn’t just something Lopez engages in every once and a while. In addition to her weekly workouts, exercising is just a a part of her lifestyle. Her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, told Peoplein 2017 that they love working out together - in and out of the gym. “Jennifer and I mix it up,” he said. “We like to lift, and we enjoy bike riding. She is a talented jock.”
