Zooey Deschanel Dating One of the Property Brothers Less Than Week After Split From Husband
Zooey Deschanel has reportedly got a new man, and it’s a good one. A week after announcing her split from her husband, Jacob Pechenik, the actress is being linked to one of the Property Brothers, Jonathan Scott. According to People, the two met while shooting an episode of Carpool Karaoke together.
“It’s new, but they are having a lot of fun together,” a source said.
On Friday, the two were photographed hand-in-hand while going to Little Dom’s in Los Angeles.
On September 6, Deschanel and her husband announced they were splitting up after four years of marriage. The two share two children together, 4-year-old Elsie and 2-year-old Charlie.
“After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners,” the couple told People in a statement. “We remain committed to our business, our values and most of all our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time.”
Deschanel was previously married to Ben Gibbard, the lead singer of Death Cab For Cutie, for three years.
In 2017, Deschanel opened up about the excitement of parenthood, even hinting that she was open to having a third child.
“[Parenthood is] really fun. You’re always adjusting because kids go through phases and the phases kind of turnover so quickly that when you introduce a new baby into the mix it’s even better,” she told Us Weekly. “Because what’s better than more kids? They are so cute.”
