Candy-Cone Trees Are Deliciously Festive
Everybody loves a decorated tree during the holidays, but these trees are mouthwateringly good! We take the fun and excitement of colorful candies and pile them up to make dreams of sugarplum fairies seem real.
Materials:
Styrofoam cones (various sizes)
Hard Candy
Sugared Gum Candy
Marshmallows
Chocolate covered Peppermint patties
Sewing Pins
Artificial flowers
Christmas Ornament Bulbs
Tools:
Hot Glue gun
Awl
Instructions for Tree with Chocolate Peppermint Patties:
Starting at the top of cone attach a patty by piercing it in the center with a sewing pin right into the Styrofoam.
Continue until the cone is covered.
Use the awl to make a hole in the top and insert the ornament upside down as a tree topper.
Instructions for Peppermint Candy Tree:
Hot glue the candies one by one, starting from the top of the cone.
Using the awl to make a hole, top the tree with the ornament placed upside-down into the hole.
Instructions for the Marshmallow Tree:
Hot glue the marshmallows in rows from the top to the bottom using the variations in marshmallow sizes to create a pattern.
Poke the artificial flowers in between to add some color.
Poke the candy canes at an angle around the bottom half to add more texture.
Top the tree with the upside-down ornament as you did with the others.
