The First Avenger is getting first-class birthday treatment at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. As previously reported, a 13-foot-tall bronze statue of Captain America will be unveiled at the festival before heading to New York native Steve Rogers’s home borough of Brooklyn. But Marvel is pulling out all the stops for Cap’s year-long celebration (the character debuted in Captain America Comics No. 1 in March 1941), with several companies creating specialty memorabilia that will be on display at Comic-Con, which runs July 20-24.
