Margot Robbie Attached to Star in Harley Quinn Spin-Off Movie
Warner Bros. is developing a spin-off for DC’s Harley Quinn, with Margot Robbie attached to reprise her role, TheWrap has confirmed.
Robbie, who sources say has become something of a DC Comics expert since joining “Suicide Squad,” would also produce the untitled project. Robbie is said to have fallen in love with DC’s female characters.
The film is not a Quinn solo movie, but would feature multiple female superheroes — and possibly villains — in the DC Comics universe. The Australian actress, who made her big screen debut in 2013’s “About Time” and co-starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in “The Wolf of Wall Street,” is said to have fallen in love with DC’s female characters.

Warner Bros. is not commenting officially about the project and it’s not yet clear how each character mentioned will be fleshed out onscreen.
A female writer, who Robbie brought on, is working on the screenplay, though her identity has not yet been revealed.
