Mark Hamill Had a Really Good Time at the 'Batman v Superman' London Premiere
Mark Hamill is best known for playing Luke Skywalker (obviously). But he’s also spent a chunk of his career providing the voice of the Joker in a variety of Batman-related animated series and video games. Last night, Hamill built a bridge* between those two franchises by bringing his Star Wars Episode VIII beard to the London premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. (*BvS director Zack Snyder responded in kind by blowing up that bridge. Just kidding, he didn’t do that! But if this had been a Snyder-directed movie in which Mark Hamill built an actual bridge? Oh yeah, that sucker would have gotten TNT’d, big time.)
Based on the photographs of Hamill at the event, it seems fair to say he had a better time than most critics did while watching Batman v Superman and, possibly, a better time than most people will ever have in their entire lives.
Lately, Hamill’s been all about enjoying himself, whether it’s on red carpets or social media. In recent weeks, he’s messed with Star Wars fans about whether Rey and Finn are Luke’s children, acknowledged a Dark Knight lover who noticed the word Arkham embedded in Mark Hamill (whoaaa) and joke-threatened to remove his daughter Chelsea from his will after she teased her dad on Twitter. (It’s cool, though, she’s back in it now.) He’s gotten almost as nutty as his Star Wars co-star Carrie Fisher. Which makes sense. That sort of behavior definitely runs in families.
