One killed, four hurt. 14 years later, Seventh Ward shooting is still unsolved
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On Sept. 5, 2010, five people were shot in the Seventh Ward. One of them was killed. Since then, nobody has been convicted of the crime. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
The shooting happened near the corner of Saint Claude and Saint Bernard avenues. Earlier, a crowd had gathered to watch a second line parade.
NOPD working trio of car crimes with similarities
According to police, the shooting happened when three people at the scene began opening fire. A witness at the time told WGNO News that one of the men walked up to a woman and fired two shots. The woman was identified as Kaamilya Muhammad. She died at the scene.
Four other people were also shot but survived.

So far, more than 470 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice.
