2nd Annual Latino Arts Festival returns to Springfield Museum
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Each year the Mi Museo Committee teams up with Springfield Museums to celebrate Latino art and culture.

The committee selects an exhibit to highlight a culture within the diverse Hispanic community. This year’s exhibition selected Frida Kahlo’s collection of images.
After viewing the exhibit, festival-goers were invited to create their very own flower crowns inspired by Frida Kahlo, often seen in her self-portraits. The flower crown is also a symbol of the natural beauty of Mexico, where she is from, and represents her love for nature.
The use of art each year brings together the Latino community throughout the Greater Springfield area. Kahlo’s photography exhibition will be on display at the Springfield Museum until Sunday.
