Four arrested, one wanted in LaPlace aggravated burglary case

LAPLACE, La. (WGNO) — One man is wanted and four have been arrested following an aggravated burglary that occurred in LaPlace on Monday, Aug. 19.

According to detectives with the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement officers were called to a home in the 3000 block of Yorktowne Drive after a husband and wife said that five people had forced their way into the home.

The intruders, who were wearing masks and all black clothing, reportedly ransacked the house and stole several items.

The 55-year-old man was hit in the head during the burglary and needed medical attention, while the 50-year-old woman was uninjured.

Through investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for all five suspects, identified as Kendall Albert, of Convent, Trevonte Smith, of Hammond, Rontrel Turner, of Vacherie, Anastasia Gordon, of Vacherie and Rashaad Roberson, of Edgard.

Albert, Smith, Turner and Gordon have all been arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. They are each being held on a $100,000 bond.
