‘The American public always responds to strength,’ Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson speaks on Trump amid last day of RNC
MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson was among the many in attendance at the Republican National Convention this week.
Hutchinson was seen as one of the most outspoken former presidential candidates when it comes to opposition to Trump.
Hutchinson: ‘Trump has taken us back to bitterness’
The former governor said that if Trump were the GOP nominee he won’t vote for him.
KARK 4 News asked who Hutchinson would vote for if the election were today, and he said he would vote for a Republican but would write in a name. When asked if he would write in his own name, Hutchinson said “We’ll see.”
Hutchinson did acknowledge that there is a difference in Republican’s energy after the attempted assassination of President Trump and he feels the former president is showing strength against Biden’s weakness.
“Obviously with Donald Trump it’s strength versus weakness right now and the American public always responds to strength,” Hutchinson said. “So, he’s got the advantages.”
Thursday is the last day of the RNC.
