Ansted man faces felony charges in Fayette County
FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — An Ansted man faces felony charges in Fayette County after being found with suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.
Pennsylvania man sentenced for felony drug crime in Fayette County
27-year-old Jonathon M. Williams, of Ansted, was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Narcotic.
Deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office were trying to carry out a felony warrant in the the area of White Row Road in Fayette County at around 12:00 p.m. on July 9, 2024. Once arriving at their destination, the deputies saw two men throw backpacks under an ATV before walking away.
Once Williams was taken into custody, a search of his backpack revealed a quantity of what was believed to be marijuana and methamphetamine.
Fayette County man sentenced to prison for grand larceny
After Williams failed to post bond, he was taken to Southern Regional Jail.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office stated that defendants are believed to be innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law, and that criminal complaints are only documents that allege criminal charges.
