Ascension Sacred Heart proposes new medical office in Perdido Key
Ascension Sacred Heart could soon provide additional medical services for residents in the Perdido Key area following a project proposal to develop a new medical office building.
Ascension Sacred Heart proposed building the medical office near their Perdido Key clinic on Sorrento Road to Escambia County’s Development Review Committee last month.
Plan call for developing a 10,800-square-foot building on their vacant site at 13137 Sorrento Road, according to the project’s site plans and Project Information Form filed with Escambia County. The facility will be built on a 1.81-acre parcel of undeveloped land and will be visible from Sorrento Road, if its plans are approved.

The project also calls for 78 parking spaces for the medical office and creates access points using their existing clinic’s driveway onto Sorrento Road.
Ascension Sacred Heart officials declined to comment on the proposed project and its potential services. The Ascension Sacred Heart Health Center in Perdido Key provides services such as primary care, imaging and more for patients in the area.
Ascension Sacred Heart submitted their project proposal to Escambia County on March 22.
