'Catfight': Kellyanne Conway mocks Tulsi Gabbard 'not qualified' comments on Kamala Harris
WASHINGTON – Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, on Wednesday mocked comments Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard made about Sen. Kamala Harris, one of her many primary opponents.
Pointing to her own military experience, Gabbard said in a radio interview that Harris is "not qualified" to be president. And Conway pounced on the Democratic sparring.
"Following embarrassing Pelosi v. Squad episode, another catfight erupts in the Democratic Party," Conway wrote on Twitter.
Gabbard also said Tuesday that she believes Harris "lacks the temperament" to be president.
"Kamala Harris is not qualified to serve as commander in chief and I can say this from a personal perspective as a soldier," Gabbard said during an interview on Fox Sports Radio. "She's got no background or experience in foreign policy and she lacks the temperament that is necessary for commander in chief."

Lily Adams, the communications director for Harris' campaign, responded to Gabbard's remarks, saying "Definite hard pass on taking national security advice from Assad's cheerleader."
Gabbard met with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad in 2017 and earlier this year said Assad "is not an enemy of the United States because Syria does not pose a direct threat to the United States."
This is not the first time Conway has used the word "catfight" to describe sparring and disagreement between female Democrats.

Earlier this month, Conway also characterized a tiff between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan as a "meow moment."
“A major meow moment — brushing back in a huge catfight, really ridiculing them — and they voted against the Democratic aid package," Conway said in an interview with Fox News on July 9.
Ocasio-Cortez at the time responded to Conway's comment, saying on Twitter: '"Catfight' is the sexist term Republicans use when two adult women happen to disagree with each other."
The New York Democrat continued: "The reason they find it so novel &exciting is bc the GOP haven’t elected enough women themselves to see that it can, in fact, be a normal occurrence in a functioning democracy."
Pressley was more pointed in her response to Conway earlier this month. "Oh hi Distraction Becky," Pressley said to Conway on Twitter, adding "Yeah take a seat and keep my name out of your lying mouth."
