Colorado DMV reports statewide outage affecting driver’s license offices

DENVER (KDVR) — Nearly 24 hours later, the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles is running again after a statewide outage.

The DMV said a technical issue was impacting all state driver’s license offices on Tuesday. All in-office services were affected except written tests.

Along with the technical issue, the department said it was experiencing technical difficulties with the state’s credit card processing system. This affected a customer’s ability to make payments using credit cards at some offices.

The DMV said it was contacting Coloradans who had an appointment with any state driver’s license office to help them reschedule or find alternate solutions.

On Wednesday morning, the DMV said it was serving Coloradans once again and that all services are back online.
