Comedy Central hosts voter registration, pet adoption event in Milwaukee on the eve of RNC

If you think elections in America have gone to the dogs, you have company.

On the eve of the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Comedy Central is hosting "InDogCision 2024: Rescuing Democracy," a voter registration/pet adoption event in Cathedral Square Park on July 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The free event — designed "to encourage fans to rescue dogs and democracy" — includes giveaways, "doggie swag," pet adoptions, voter registration opportunities, a meet-and-greet with members of the "Daily Show" team and more.

"InDogCision 2024" is being co-hosted with HeadCount, a voter registration organization, and Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC).

Comedy Central and "The Daily Show" had a similar event in New York City in June, and plans to hold another in Chicago Aug. 18, the day before the start of the Democratic National Convention in the Windy City.

"The Daily Show" is broadcasting from Milwaukee during the 2024 Republican National Convention July 15-18.
