Critics Cook Ted Cruz Over Kamala Harris Food Fixation: 'Sure As Hell' Not Taking That!
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) made it clear Wednesday that he has beef with Vice President Kamala Harris over a nonexistent ban cooked up on Fox News.
“Her record is extraordinarily radical. Let me say at the outset, Kamala can’t have my guns, she can’t have my gasoline engine and she sure as hell can’t have my steaks and cheeseburgers,” Cruz told Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
Hannity, who hasusedhisshow to falsely claim the Biden administration is trying to take Americans’ red meat, joined Cruz in attacking Harris. (The vice president has previously signaled her support for changing dietary guidelines to recommend decreasing consumption).
An account on X (formerly Twitter) linked to the Republican National Committee and the Trump campaign shared a 2019 clip of the now-presumptive Democratic nominee that claimed she wished to ban “CERTAIN BEHAVIORS, like eating red meat.”
Social media users couldn’t help but roast Cruz for pushing false food claims.

What she will do is take care of your constituents ,during a natural disaster, when you flee to Cancun.

If you look at Biden’s address tonight and compare it to the GOP messaging, it’s clear one party is serious and passionate about America and the other is a series of clowns emerging from a tiny car and sprinting right into a brick wall. https://t.co/9OANjMjCW9

But the guy who said your wife is ugly and your dad killed JFK can have your dignity. https://t.co/7FZtbT7YBt

A Harvard-trained lawyer knows that a president can’t take away your cheeseburger. But Republicans scare voters with silly things like plastic straws and steaks because they don’t want to talk about their plans to take away serious things like Social Security and Medicare. ???? https://t.co/UnZe8AAYLE

Why does Ted Cruz think anyone, let alone the future president, wants any of his crap? https://t.co/hEjGgxOv2r

One of the most amusing things about Ted is that he is completely and fully aware that virtually every word he utters in a public setting is total bullshit, and he knows deep down that his own people despise him, but he still thinks somehow, someway, he will be president someday. https://t.co/Q0ySEpO02D
