Edgewater man killed in hit-and-run Tuesday, police search for driver
DENVER (KDVR) — Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that hit and killed an Edgewater man.
According to the Lakewood Police Department, the pedestrian was struck by a car at about 11:49 p.m. on Tuesday at West 14th Avenue and Carr Street. The area is just west of the intersection of Wadsworth Boulevard and West Colfax Avenue.
Police identified the pedestrian as Donald Jones, 41, of Edgewater, who sustained serious injuries from the crash and was taken to a local hospital. Medical personnel eventually pronounced him dead.

Police reported that witnesses only had vague descriptions of the suspect and suspect vehicle, which was described as likely a gold or silver sedan traveling eastbound on West 14th Avenue. No license plate information was provided.
