Ellie Leach worried "life was over" after Coronation Street exit
Former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has revealed she worried "life was over" after her exit from the show.
The actor, who played Faye Windass on the ITV soap for 12 years, opened up about learning she'd be leaving the cobbles in the latest episode of ITVBe reality series Drama Queens.
"I can't believe I left Corrie like nearly a year ago. It was just after my birthday wasn't it?" Ellie said to her parents after returning home from touring the country as part of Cluedo 2 - The Next Chapter.

"And to think that when I left Corrie I kind of was like, 'I don't know what I'm going do, I'm really scared and I don't know what's gonna happen'."
Ellie's mum Karen replied: "Worrying times but it's just proved to be fantastic that when you put your mind to something you can do it can't you?"
Speaking to camera, Ellie went on to explain how difficult she found her exit from Weatherfield, knowing she didn't have another job to fall back on.
"On Corrie when I got told that they had a storyline for me but it was gonna be an exit storyline, obviously I was like, 'Oh my god, my life's over'," she explained.

"I was like, 'I don't have anything. I don't have a job and I don't know when the next was gonna come, if the next one is gonna come'."
She continued: "And thank god Strictly came a couple of weeks after, but it is kind of like a blessing in disguise. Cause if that didn't happen, then I wouldn't have had the year that I've had."
Corrie bosses lined up a bittersweet ending for Faye last year, who left Weatherfield with Jackson Hodge and their daughter Miley to start their new life in Slough.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
