Who has endorsed Kamala Harris for president? Here are some of the notable politicians and figures
Endorsements have started to trickle in as President Joe Biden is out of the race and the vice president, Kamala Harris, is now seeking the Democratic nomination for president.
Biden, 81, ended his bid for reelection Sunday in a letter addressed to Americans, saying "I believe it is in the best interest of my party and my country for me to stand down and to focus solely on my duties as President for the rest of my term."
In a filing Sunday afternoon with the Federal Election Commission, the campaign formerly known as Biden for President changed its name to the Harris for President campaign.
The move means Harris' campaign assumes control of Biden’s campaign money. It also allows Harris, an attorney and politician who previously served as U.S. Senator for California, to begin raising money for her own presidential bid.
