Families displaced by Fairview plane crash looking to ‘rebuild’ lives through GoFundMe
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Three families who are trying to rebuild their lives after they were displaced from a deadly plane crash in Fairview on Saturday are asking people for help through multiple GoFundMe campaigns.
The crash resulted in three deaths, a power outage affecting thousands over the weekend and damaged multiple residences from townhome fires.

The three GoFundMe campaigns from people displaced from the plane crash have all been verified by the site, a GoFundMe spokesperson told KOIN 6 News. The links and descriptions of each are listed below:
Help Tom and Judy Rebuild After Tragic Plane Crash
“Our parents escaped with only the clothing they were wearing, my father didn’t even have shoes and emerged from the home walking through glass dazed. Their phones and computers are gone, their entire life of family photos, family heirlooms/memories that cannot be replaced, all household possessions, furniture, etc are lost. They lost everything and are lucky to have their lives.”
House Fire Relocation for Hailey and Jodi
“They are currently staying with various friends and hopping house to house with their 2 cats and 2 little dogs. While the house insurance and HOA will be taking care of repairs, this can take months and they have nowhere stable to call home for the time being. Please consider donating whatever you can to help them find a temporary living situation”
Help Kim and Morgan Rebuild After Tragedy
“The unexpected loss of their home and belongings has been a shock, especially following the recent passing of Kim’s mother. Of their three cherished cats, one is recovering from burns at Dove Lewis Hospital.”

The Cessna 421C plummeted from the sky Saturday morning, hitting a power pole, crashing into a row of homes in the Fairview Terrance housing community and killing two people on board and one townhome resident. Neighbors in the area rushed to offer aid to those affected, even after first responders and investigators arrived, witnesses said.

KOIN 6 News spoke with survivors of the incident, including some of the people who currently have GoFundMe campaigns. There was even a positive update from one neighbor, Kim Williams, who said she and her young daughter weren’t home when the crash happened but her cats were.
Williams’ GoFundMe initially said of her three cats, one was recovering from burns at the hospital, one was found and another was still missing. However, Williams told KOIN 6 News on Tuesday that the third cat has been found alive.

KOIN 6 also spoke with Tom and Judy Keegan, who also have a GoFundMe campaign. Tom said that during the crash, he was inside the place they’ve called home for the past 20 years. Suddenly, he heard a loud noise like a propeller, then an explosion sent him flying. He was able to make it out alive but their next-door neighbor, the couple’s best friend, died.
“We were more like sisters,” Judy said.

On Monday, federal investigators were still on the scene collecting evidence and talking to residents.
On Tuesday, officials with the National Transport Safety Board held a briefing about the crash, saying the pilot was having issues controlling the plane moments before it went down. Two NTSB investigators are still on the scene collecting evidence and establishing the debris field.
