Former Rep. Gabby Giffords of Arizona addressed the DNC on Thursday, recounting the 2011 mass shooting that nearly killed her and forced her to resign from Congress. "A man tried to assassinate me," Giffords said. "He shot 19 people. He killed six. Terrible, terrible day. I almost died."
