Speaking about taking to the stage, Howe-Douglas took to Twitter/X to spread the word.

"Beyond excited to announce that I will be joining the cast of A CHRISTMAS CAROL(ish) @sohoplacelondon from 16 November," she wrote. "I've always dreamt of being a West End Wendy but at Christmas too?! Stick a fork in me, I'm done! Please do come and see us!"

A Christmas Carol(ish) kicks off with Santa cancelling Christmas last minute, earning him a visit by three ghosts who'll help him tap into his Christmas spirit.

"But with mere hours to go, and only one working reindeer, how will he deliver everything on time?!" the synopsis reads.

Mohammed teased the "bigger" and "madder" show, calling the West End run a dream come true.

"I can't quite put into words how utterly thrilled I am to be finally plonking Mr Swallow on a West End stage – albeit in the guise of Scrooge in the guise of Santa Claus!" he said in a statement.

"Getting to put on an all-singing, all-dancing show like this has been a dream come true and I can't wait for everyone who saw the development run at Soho Theatre to be positively startled by how much bigger and – mostly – madder it's got!

"With so many versions of A Christmas Carol to choose from this festive season, we can absolutely guarantee this is the only one where all the words, context and overall meaning has been altered to meet my very specific requirements.

"Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!"

Tickets to A Christmas Carol(ish) go on general sale on September 20, with early access tickets available on September 18 from www.achristmascarolish.com.
