GoFundMe accounts set up for 2 people lost to the Kern River on July 4

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two families have set up GoFundMe accounts to help relatives after their loved ones were lost in the Kern River on the Fourth of July.

The families of Edwin Rubio and Luisa Sanceno created the accounts to help with funeral costs. Sanceno’s family said they are hoping to raise enough money to send her body back to her native Guatemala.
