Gulf Breeze plastic surgeon pleads not guilty to homicide charge: Court documents

GULF BREEZE, Fla. (WKRG) — A Gulf Breeze plastic surgeon has pleaded not guilty to a homicide charge after his wife died following cardiac arrest during a procedure, according to court documents.

Escambia County Sheriff’s Office: Man wanted for questioning about shooting

41-year-old Benjamin Jacob Brown was charged with second-degree homicide: manslaughter by culpable negligence on June 17 and was expected to be in court this week before he made his plea.

Deputies were called to the business, Restore Plastic Surgery, on Nov. 21, 2023, for a report of a medical emergency.

Officials said when their deputies arrived, they found that Hillary Ellington Brown, Benjamin’s wife, had suffered cardiac arrest and was taken to a local hospital for care.

Hillary was put on life support, but she later died on Nov. 28, according to previous reporting.
