Harley Quinn spin-off series from Max, Kite Man: Hell Yeah!, has landed a release date.

The new animated show, which will follow Kite Man (Matt Oberg) and Golden Glider (Stephanie Hsu) as they open up a new dive bar and moonlight as criminals, is set to premiere on the streaming service in the US later this month.

The first two episodes will arrive on July 18, while the remaining episodes will air weekly until the finale on September 12. A UK release is yet to be announced.

Kite Man's official synopsis reads: "Kite Man and Golden Glider take their relationship to the next level by opening a bar in the shadow of Lex Luthor's Legion of Doom.

"Nobody said serving cold ones to the most dangerous rogues outside of Arkham Asylum would be easy, but sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and how to hide a body."

Other cast members include James Adomian as Bane, Jonathan Banks as Noonan, Natasia Demetriou as Malice, Michael Imperioli as Joe/Moe Dubelz, Janelle James as Queen of Fables, Keith David as Darkseid, Rory Scovel as Gus the Goon, Judith Light as Helen Villigan and Lance Reddick as Lex Luthor.

Meanwhile, Kaley Cuoco's hit animated series Harley Quinn has been renewed for a fifth season.

"We're thrilled that the news of Harley and Ivy's continuing misadventures is finally out and we can stop telling people in secret," executive producers Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey said of the news. "We must have handed out at least three thousand NDAs by now. It was a big waste of paper."

The show's fourth season aired last year, following Harley as she fought for a place in the Legion of Doom alongside her partner-in-crime and girlfriend Poison Ivy.

Kite Man: Hell Yeah! will premiere on Max in the US on July 18.
