Investigation underway after man found dead in Marigny home
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead in the Marigny neighborhood on Wednesday, July 10.
NOPD officers said they responded to the call of a deceased person being found inside a home in the 2700 block of Decatur Street at 7:23 a.m.
Single-vehicle crash in Washington Parish kills unrestrained driver
Upon arrival, they found the unresponsive man at the location and pronounced him dead on the scene. Through an investigation, officers discovered evidence of trauma on the man and called homicide detectives.
No further details are available at this time, but the incident has been classified as a homicide. NOPD officers are in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity and cause of death after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
