Investigators searching for pickup driver in Portland fire station vandalism
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Officials are searching for a suspect in a white pickup truck that vandalized a SE Portland Fire station early Monday morning.
Just before 2 a.m., a white Ford F-150 1997-2003, identified by its long bed with visible trash, drove onto the lawn of the fire station located at 5211 SE Mall Street, according to Portland Fire & Rescue investigators.
The vehicle hit the garage door and flagpole, causing major damage and necessitating emergency repairs, all while honking its horn continuously, officials said.
Investigators are now seeking public assistance to identify the suspect vehicle, which may show damage on the passenger side and mud from the damaged lawn.
