James Nesbitt's 2014 police drama Babylon is now available to watch on Netflix.

The seven-part series, which first aired on Channel 4, follows American PR consultant Liz Garvey (Brit Marling), who is hired by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Richard Miller (Nesbitt) to help modernise the force's communications department.

However, Liz soon faces legal bureaucracy and internal pushback for her innovative media strategies.

Other cast members include Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya, Mary & George's Nicola Walker, Wonka's Paterson Joseph, Doctor Foster's Bertie Carvel, Rebel Moon's Stuart Martin, Ghosts' Jim Howick and The Long Shadow's Jill Halfpenny.

Babylon is directed by Danny Boyle, while Peep Show and Fresh Meat writers Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong penned the script.

The series has a fresh rating of 74% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes from 19 reviews, with the site's critics consensus reading: "Babylon successfully combines two genres into one show, adding great actors and timely subject matter to stealthy wit and hard-hitting drama."

Babylon isn't Nesbitt's only Channel 4 show available to watch on Netflix, as the actor's 2022 series Suspect was also added to the platform earlier this month.

Nesbitt, who is currently working on Netflix's new Harlan Coben series Missing You, stars in the series as detective Danny Frater, who is trying to uncover the mystery behind his estranged daughter's death.

Sex Education's Anne-Marie Duff, Death in Paradise star Ben Miller, Doctor Who's Sacha Dhawan, Outlander actor Sam Heughan, Malpractice's Niamh Algar and Richard E Grant also star.

Suspect originally aired on Channel 4 in 2019 and has now run for three seasons.

Babylon and Suspect are now available to watch on Netflix.
