3 QUESTIONS
...about Trump’s town hall
Anthony talked to Andrew Romano, who’s been covering the presidential race for Yahoo News, about Trump’s town hall tonight.
Anthony: Fact-check me: Was Kamala Harris supposed to take part in the town hall?
Andrew: No. Let me break it down: Harris only committed to the debate Biden and Trump originally agreed to, airing Sept. 10 on ABC. After Harris replaced Biden, Trump pushed for a Fox News debate on Sept. 4 instead. She rejected it, so Fox is hosting a solo town hall with Trump.
Anthony: What should we expect to see from Trump tonight?
Andrew: Sean Hannity is hosting. He’s friendly with Trump, so I’m expecting softballs on the economy, Israel and immigration. The town hall will be in Pennsylvania, which is the must-win state for both candidates.
Anthony: Which debates have Trump and Harris committed to?
Andrew: Just Sept. 10. Trump also floated a Sept. 25 clash on NBC, but Harris rejected it. Her camp has said she will debate Trump again in October if he shows up on Sept. 10, but hasn’t provided more details beyond that.
