Joe Rogan Makes His Opinion On Canada Very Clear
Joe Rogan has taken a side in the ongoing debate surrounding the United States' relationship with Canada.
Much has been made about the United States' relationship with Canada in recent weeks. President Trump, of course, announced that he was going to put strict tariffs in place for Canada. He's also said - perhaps jokingly, perhaps seriously - that Canada should become our 51st state.
The controversy boiled over into the sports world, where the U.S. national anthem has been booed, heavily, during sporting events in Canada. NBA and NHL teams often play games in Canada and the national anthem for both countries is played before games. Videos of the U.S. national anthem getting booed before tipoff or puck drop have gone viral.
Rogan, meanwhile, has made his opinion on the conflict pretty clear. He wants things to simmer down with Canada.
Rogan, during a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with guest Michael Kosta (#2290), sounded off on the United States' relationship with Canada.
He wants things to get better.
"We got to become friends with Canada again. We have to, like, you know, this is so ridiculous,” Rogan said bluntly.
Rogan can't believe what some people are saying about the U.S.-Canada relationship.
“I can’t believe that there’s like anti-American and anti-Canadian sentiment going on. It’s the dumbest (expletive) thing there is," he said.
“There’s a lot of idiots that think, ‘They are our (expletive) enemy. Why are we subsidizing Canada? How come they don’t have their own military?’ Well, they don’t, so let’s just deal with it as it is.'”
Rogan, at the end of the day, does not want Canada to become the 51st state.
“I don’t really think they should be our 51st state,” Rogan said. “It would be fun if it happened, but I think Greenland is more accessible. We could probably buy that. If you want a 51st state, it’s Greenland.”
