Kamala Harris to return to Michigan Sunday
Vice President Kamala Harris is set to return to Michigan Sunday as part of a barnstorming tour of battleground states ahead of Tuesday's election.
Her campaign didn't disclose details of the visit, yet, but noted it will come after Friday and Saturday visits to Wisconsin, Georgia and North Carolina. She plans to return to Pennsylvania on Monday, the campaign said.
Sunday will mark Harris's 12th day of campaigning in Michigan since she announced she'd seek the Democratic nomination for president in July. It underscores the importance of Michigan to both campaigns. Harris' running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is scheduled to be in Detroit, Flint and Traverse City on Friday.
Polling shows the race here virtually tied.
Her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, plan separate visits to Michigan on Friday.
