What we know, and don't know, about Kamala Harris's rally in Milwaukee during the DNC

Though the Republican National Convention wrapped up a month ago, Milwaukee is far from losing its place in the national spotlight.

Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, will take a short trip north to hold a rally in Milwaukee Tuesday — right as the Democratic National Convention is in full swing in Chicago.

The rally will mark Harris's third trip to Wisconsin in her barely month-old campaign. She held the first rally of her presidential campaign in West Allis and stopped in Eau Claire earlier this month with her newly selected running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Walz will join Harris in Milwaukee on Tuesday. Ohio Sen. JD Vance, former president Donald Trump's running mate, won't be far behind: the Republican vice presidential nominee is scheduled to hold a press conference in Kenosha on the same day.

Here's everything we know about Harris's rally in Milwaukee so far.

What will be happening at the DNC while Harris is in Milwaukee?

Each day of the convention includes a full schedule of events for delegates, but the main programming of the DNC takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. each night of the convention. During the day, official convention business will presumably continue as usual while Harris and Walz are in Milwaukee.

It's unclear whether the DNC will schedule speakers for the same time as the rally, but we do know former president and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama will be taking the stage in Chicago right after Harris and Walz finish speaking in Milwaukee. The Obamas' remark will be streamed inside Fiserv Forum to rally attendees, according to the official event page.
