Fool in Love Festival - Aug. 31

A truly mind-blowing lineup of soul, R&B and funk legends come to together at SoFi Stadium’s and Hollywood Park's adjoining outdoor grounds on four stages monikered "Fool," "Love," "Cruisin," and "Bounce," at this ambitious musical massive. Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, The Jacksons, Eric Burdon & The Animals, The O’Jays, The Isley Brothers, Chaka Khan, Nile Rogers & Chic, Midnight Star, Debbie Deb, The Temptations, Durand Jones & The Indications, Al Green, Smokey Robinson, Thee Sacred Souls, Barbara Mason, El Chicano, The Spinners, Dionne Warwick, The Emotions, The Whispers, Gladys Knight, Charlie Wilson, Santana, War, Kool & The Gang, Tower of Power, Cameo, The Delfonics, Heatwave, The Intruders and many more are slated to perform, representing their latest iterations. The only bummer is figuring out how to not miss your favorite slow jam or funk grind.

Geneva Jacuzzi at the Lodge Room - Aug. 31

Los Angeles’s own Geneva Jacuzzi has been a favorite at MOCA, The Broad, and The Getty for her art-minded lo-fi pop performances melding music and eccentric theatricality. The DIY ethos and surrealist vibes are strong on her latest Dais Records third full-length, Triple Fire, which she'll perform along with selections from her prolific output.

Tory Burch Animal House Pop-Up at The Grove - August 31 (thru October 28)

Tory Burch’s animalistic new collection is featured at a new pop-up at the Grove beginning Saturday. Shop for limited-edition bags, clothing and accessories featuring German photographer Walter Schels' striking portrait “Cat” from 1994, which first appeared in TB’s Resort 2024 collection. The space will also offer handbags and shoes from Burch’s iconic T Monogram and Kira collections and its new fragrance Sublime (coming in Oct.)

Club 57 Reunion at Zebulon  - Sept. 1

After two big Broad Museum bashes last year, actress and musician Ann Magnuson brings her Club 57 Society bash to Zebulon, where she had a wild goth Christmas shindig last year. Themed “Glam Homecoming Prom,” the event will feature rare vintage videos and original DJ Kristian Hoffman spinning vintage glitter and rock vinyl for dancing denizens in glitzy fashions inspired by Bowie, Eno, Roxy Music, and NY Dolls. Dress to express and you might be crowned Homecoming Queen or King!

Prosperity Market at Hilltop Coffee - Sept. 1

Black Business Month comes to a close with Prosperity Market’s upcoming pop-up market and Block Party at Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen. Black farmers and businesses, vendors, crafts and activations from Hulu and Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop are just part of the festivities. There’ll also be a wine garden, family fun, community booths and an KJLH's Tammi Mac popping in. Prosperity also debuts a “48-foot solar-powered and electric farmers-market-on-wheels” at the event.

Cosm Los Angeles' USC vs. LSU Experience - Sept. 1

The new 65,000 square foot experiential entertainment venue in Hollywood Park kicks off its first ever college football games in “Shared Reality” with a live presentation of USC vs. LSU this Sunday. With an 87-foot-diameter immersive 12K+ LED dome, the experience, in partnership with ESPN, seeks to immerse viewers and make them feel like they are at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas where the game takes place. The Malibu Chili Cook-Off - Aug. 30-Sept. 2

The 42nd annual family food gathering and carnival, benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu, features rides, a mini-ramp skate competition and of course, a chili competition (in both meat and vegan categories). DJs Short Shorts and Corey Biggs spin an array of dance tunes and there’ll be craft beers, local wines and vendors.
