Layton Williams hints at Bad Education cancellation
Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams thinks it's unlikely BBC comedy Bad Education will return for another series.
The Jack Whitehall-created show returned in January for a fifth season, with former Class K pupils Stephen Carmichael (Williams) and Mitchell Harper (EastEnders star Charlie Wernham) now all grown-up and newly qualified teachers at the infamous Abbey Grove School.
In an exclusive interview with Digital Spy, the actor who is currently entertaining audiences in the London run of Cabaret, weighed in on whether Bad Education could return for a sixth series.

"I don’t know how much I can say on this, but I will say it’s been a bad time," he told us. "Sometimes, all good things must come to an end.
"We usually film in the summer. I’m a little bit busy, so you can probably connect the dots."
The Everyone's Talking About Jamie star explained that the cast are all "just a little bit busy" with other projects at the moment, including Williams who is currently playing the Emcee at the Kit Kat Club at London's Playhouse Theatre.
"I will look back on Bad Education memories so fondly," he said. "I feel so lucky that I got to revisit that show for a couple of years and put my own spin on it and lead a company.

"I've led a West End show or a musical, but I've never been a frontrunner when it comes to a TV show. So that was a big tick for me."
"I was like, 'Yay, someone's finally taking...' – not even a bet on me – but just being like, 'You've got this, we're rooting for you, you can do this'," he added, reflecting on the responsibility he was given as a main character in season five.
"It was honestly some of the most thrilling-slash-scary and wild six to eight weeks."
Williams will appear in Cabaret for a strictly limited four-month run, alongside Heartstopper actor Rhea Norwood, who portrays the iconic Sally Bowles. Their last performance takes place on September 21.
