'Here lies a good judge': The remarkable life and legacy of Sandra Day O'Connor
"Here lies a good judge."
Sandra Day O'Connor, often as direct as the Arizona sun, offered these words when asked about her legacy. "The tombstone question," she called it.
O'Connor, perhaps the most influential Arizonan in the state's first 100 years, died Dec. 1 at age 93.
In addition to her quarter-century on the Supreme Court, in retirement she returned to her home state to promote civic awareness and civility.
In this bonus episode, host Ron Hansen explores O'Connor's life and legacy.
